Sunte the ki barsat bujha deti hai har aag,

Tere jism ke ehsas ne mera hath na chhora,

Chhor diya tumne, yadon ne magar sath na chhora.

Dard-e-jigar chupa na saki muskurahat labon ki,

Kambakht ashkon ne mera sath na chhora.

Sunte the ki barsat bujha deti hai har aag,

Yeh Bharam bhi tora to barsat ne tora.

Maine to shuru afsana-e-bahar kiya tha,

Beech hi mein khiza ki taraf tune ise mora.

‘Raji’ ne kiya saki ka kayi bar shukriya,

Mila to sahi jaam, Ziada tha ya thora.
